Hello!

So last Monday I went to the Small breeds farm park and Owl Sanctuary. This was my second time visiting here and it has such a nice atmosphere.

So this is the entrance to the park and it was literally one of the only nice days of this week, silly English weather!

When you walk through the gates you get to an owl enclosure which has lots of different owls from around the world! Here are a few snaps of those -

You could actually stroke this one and he was so cute and friendly!

This one wasn't so friendly

This is one of my favourite photos of the day, he was so fluffy and cute and just kept staring at me... creepy

Next we went to get our buckets of food so we could feed the animals as we went round.

On the way we met this little guy trying to catch himself some food (Awwwwh!)

We then went to see all of the goats and other animals around the park. Here are some of the photos -

My little cousin Bethan feeding one of the goats

He was secretly my favourite.. (shh)

*heart melts*

Alpaccas!

I don't think I had ever seen a Red Squirrel in real life before so this was a first!

Calf!

Heres an overview of that bit of the park!

We then went into the small animal section, and this was one of my favourite bits!

Guinea Pigs!

Baby Mice!

I cant remember what this was but i can remember he was moving around really quickly and as a person of 5ft1', I had to reach right in the air for this.. hence the blurriness! Sorry!

Chinchillas!

After this section there was a small pond area for the ducks and geese

My Granddad

There were a couple warnings about this swan being very protective over his mate, so not to stand too close to the fencing... needless to say I was out the way pretty sharpish!

I just had to take a picture of this little guy.. it really made me chuckle!!

We then ventured into the barn area where there were a few animals and lots of baby animals in their incubators

These guys were over a 100 years old!! (whaaat?!)

Donkeys

Little Chicks

Baby owls in their incubator

Two baby owls getting ready to go outside for the first time!

Last but definitely not least was time to go eat our lunch and be let loose in the goat enclosure!

The cutest

My nan gained a friend!!

Well thats it for this post! I hope you enjoyed!

What was your favourite photo from the ones above?

Mine was definitely the frog haha!

Cheerio!

Hello!

So last week i haven't been all that well, and that meant spending the whole week in bed and reading and finishing books.

I read two whole books during this week (which i am pretty proud of) so i thought i would show you what i have read and what i am looking forward to reading.

Buy Here
So to start off with is An Abundance of Katherine's by John Green and I am pretty sure you will know him in some way or another.

I am yet to read this one but i am really looking forward to it and i will definitely give it a review along with all of the other books featured here that i haven't read yet.

Now this book will come as no surprise to you if you know me, but this is Book at us Now by The Midnight Beast.

This was really a jokey kind of annual where they just told their story about what gave them fame, and what has happened during that year. This is a few years old now but it is really funny and if you know who they are and like them, get this book you will love it, and if you don't know who they are, go check them out!!

Buy Here
Alot of you probably know this book from the film that came out in 2004 (here) but if you don't here it is!

It is a good story that you can relate to, like most of Ally Carter's books, it is also something that will make you laugh and will make you cry at some points, but it just shows what you can do if you really want to do it!

Definitely recommend to people wanting to try out a new book, especially if you are a young teen (like i was when i read it).

This is actually the most recent book purchase i have made!

I saw alot of review online about this book and John Green himself spoke about it on the back cover, i love his books so i thought if he thought it was good, it must be good!

I will post a full review when i have read it later on in the year.

This is a story, again, by Ally Carter. I actually got this free with Shout! Magazine about 3 or 4 years ago when i still used to read those tween mags, deary me.

The first book of hers that i read was really amazing so i am really excited to give this one a go when i have time!

I will definitely post a full review of this later in the year but it looks like a really good story!

This is one of the books that i read last week when i was ill. It is a really beautiful story which involves all the emotions.

The chapters are different from any other book as they are each titled "one hundred days before" or "12 days before" and then after the thing that happens (which i cannot tell you as it would ruin the whole book) it goes on to say "5 days after" etc.

It is a really captivating story which i would say is targeted for teens and into their twenties, it just makes you want to real more and more, that's why i finished it within 24 hours of starting it, it just doesn't let you put it down!

I would highly recommend this to anybody, especially if you have read a John Green book before, this book will not let you down.

This is the second book that i read last week, i finished this on Thursday afternoon, after picking it up on the Wednesday morning.

This is such an amazing book, it has 3 main parts to it, and part 2 is by far the longest. During the parts 1 and 2 there are numbered sections throughout, however in the last section there are hourly parts, all counting up to the 20th hour.

It is really good and once you get into the first part, you will not be able to put it down for the whole of that part, you just keep wanting to know more.

John is also going to be making a movie for this aswelll as The Fault in our Stars, which im expecting to be released sometime next year.

Buy Here
Last but definitely not least is The Fault in our Stars by John Green. A couple of my friends have also read this book and we all agree that it is such a good book, its one of the best i have ever read, and the other to follow is also by the same author.

I read this book over a year ago now and i am just about to start reading it again ready for the release of the movie in June, which by the way i am extremely excited about!

This made me cry and smile and every emotion, it also made me think about it for days afterwards, which shows that it was truly a really amazing book!

It was also very personal to me as the main character of the book suffered with the same disease as my Nan.

I read this book in about 6 or 7 hours when i was off school ill, early on last year and its always been the favourite book ever since, except from Paper Towns which has recently leveled with this in the favourite box.

Have you read any of these books?

If so which is your favourite?

Hello!

So yesterday I received a parcel, which is really unlike me because I never usually receive anything, I opened it up and remembered that I ordered the Soft Touch 6-mini's collection from Nails Inc.

This was my first order from Nail Inc, however I have tried a mini version of one of their nail varnish's before. It was in my advent calender last year from boots, and it was their Porchester Square.

I picked up an Elle magazine and there was a £10 gift voucher inside for Nails Inc, so I thought I would order something!

Soft Touch Collection - £10.00 - Nails Inc
I did swatches of all of the shades, so I will show you from left to right!

Blenheim Terrace
This is a really nice pinky coral colour which is perfect for the spring. It has a slight shimmer to it which is what I tried to capture on the picture on the right. This was applied with two coats and it gives a really nice finish!

Holly Hill
This is a staple red colour, and everyone usually had one, whether it is a deep berry red or a bright and vibrant one, and this is definitely the vibrant one.

This has been applied with 2 coats again, however it did dry really quickly and with a really nice glossy finish.

Fitzrovia
This colour reminds me alot of Essie's Fiji, as it is a really light pink that is almost white, however this one is a bit more beige.

This took 3 coats to cover the nail as it is such a light colour, however when it is dry it looks really nice on the nail.

However because I am so fair skinned it doesnt really go with my skin colour, it almost gives the effect that I am lighter than I already am, which is definitely not what I want

Berkley Square
This is a really deep navy blue colour and it only took one coat to cover it this opaquely.. (is that a word?)

This is a really nice evening colour as it is highly glossy and such a beautiful colour

Redcliffe Road
This is a really deep purple with pinker undertones rather than blue.

I made a small mistake on the ring finger (oops) but unfortunately as it is such a deep opaque colour it stained the skin, which didnt have a base coat on (obviously laura).

Overall I really like this colour and I think its perfect for winter or an evening.

Bolton's Place
This is a really metallic, shiny taupe colour, which I really love. The shade also reminds me of the taupe maybelline colour tattoo!

This was applied with one coat and it makes a really lovely colour.

This is definitely my favourite colour out of the collection, along with Blemheim Terrace.

If you got this far.. thankyou for reading!

Do you have a favourite colour from this collection? If so leave a comment below!

Cheerio!

Hello!

So on Monday I had to do a nail art assessment, which is a small part of my hairdressing course at college.

We all had to do a nail design that had some kind of theme running throughout.. at first I was going to do some Mario mushrooms as a design -

I also looked at different designs to do with flowers and dots, and tried out some of those -

In the end I went for a dotted design with a few gems and a slightly different design on the ring finger. My tutor really liked them and they have lasted really well so far!

Here are the products that I used:

- Black and white nail pens (which I got for christmas)
- Green nail pen (from Primark and surprisingly good)
- Gems from a local craft store

- Here are a couple pictures from yesterday -

My friend Ali

My friend Kerry doing her Minion nails

I hope you enjoyed this small post about my day, and if you have any nail art ideas, feel free to send them to me!
