Now that Autumn has arrived and is in full swing, I have been digging through my jewellery collection and picking out my favourites. My favourite items always seem to change season to season and I definitely think this is because my wardrobe is transitioning into the cosy and dark green heaven that is Autumn.

My newest addition to my collection for this season is the black velvet choker with a hanging bow detail.

I really like how this piece could dress up a casual outfit for an evening and I definitely think it would layer up well with some silver or a second simple choker.

Keeping with the choker theme, I have also been loving this ruby choker from Topshop that Maxwell bought for me for my birthday, as it is my birth stone.

It seems to fit my neck really well and also is a great piece for layering and adds a bit of an edgy tone to an outfit.

I am not usually one for buying gold items but I am really loving the hints of gold throughout the autumnal colours at the moment, hence the running theme.

One of my older pieces that fits quite well with this is my tiger face simple gold chain necklace.

Unfortunately, this is sold out and I cannot find it anywhere but was originally from Topshop but I adore it SO much.

Last, but definitely not least is this watch from Christian Lars. This was kindly gifted to me by my dad for Christmas and it has been a staple ever since.

Unfortunately, again, I cannot find this anywhere to buy online.

However, I definitely think that it is most suited to the autumn/winter season as the gold and black face and leather strap detail pairs really well with the dark auburn and green colours that cloud my wardrobe.

-----

Thanks so much for reading and I am SO excited to get lots of wear out of these throughout the season!

Hello Lovelies!

Today is a little bit of a different kind of post as I want to share my thoughts about where I am in the blogging world at the moment.

Recently, I haven't been posting for near enough a month now and the only reason for that is that I just have not had the drive to write any! I have not had any inspiration for posts or not even the interest in sitting down and taking the time to write one.

I have just started a new job and have also been taking lots of trips out with Max to play Pokemon GO and have definitely found myself either too busy or with no motivation to post at all. The longer I left posting anything, the more nervous I became to even post the simplest of reviews.

I also have found myself becoming scared to post the things that I want to post rather than just beauty reviews all the time, so I definitely want to switch things up and make sure that I experiment with my content a lot more.

I love writing posts and getting your feedback and reviewing things for you all but I never want to force out a post as it just will not be interesting to read and you will definitely be able to tell the lack of motivation and passion behind the words.

So what I am going to do from now is not promise a post at a certain time, there might be two posts in one week or no posts for a couple of weeks, just depending on how i'm feeling and how busy I am. Like I have mentioned previously, I have never been making posts just for the numbers or readers but I make them because I love to express my creative mind and share my thoughts on the things that I truly love through this platform.

Thank-you so much for listening and I am sure there will be new posts super soon!

Love you all and I will speak in the next one :-)

Hello Lovelies!

In this post I thought I would talk to you about my all time favourite cream eye-shadow base that I tend to use 90% of the time.

It is of course, my Maybelline Color Tattoo in the shade On and On Bronze. The thing that I the most about this shadow is that you can use it as a sheer base or really build it up for an opaque metallic colour.

The texture of this isn't really like most cream products that I have used before. It seems a lot dryer than other formula's which I find great as it does not crease or slip around your eye lid during the day and also sets in no time after applying it.

The tiniest amount seriously goes such a long way as well as it being super easy to apply.

The brush that I usually apply it with is the one that you get free with the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and I find that the flat brush end is really good for packing on the colour and really pushing it where you want it to be and the other fluffier end is perfect for blending out the harsh edges.

Maybelline do such a nice colour range with these so if you haven't already, I would highly recommend checking them out!

You can buy them here for only £4.99 - Maybelline Color Tattoo

Hello Lovelies!

Next up in this two-part Zoella Beauty weekend is Le Fizz.

I tried this bath fizzer out for the first time a few nights ago and it definitely lives up to its name. Firstly, it smells SO cosy! Just like the bath latte, I definitely would use this for a cosy bath in the evening when you want to have a good night sleep.

The smell is definitely a lot stronger than the bath latte but I haven't tried the rest of the range yet to make a judge but I think this is more aimed at making your bath smell lovely rather than doing anything else exciting to your bath, unlike the bubbles in the shower milk.

If you have tried any of the bath fizzers from the previous collections then you will know that there is only about 6/8 squares (I can't remember the exact amount) but in this there is lots more, although they are smaller. I actually think that the smaller squares makes it a lot easier to get your money's worth as you don't have to use the large chunks.

Just like the Bath Latte, I absolutely love the packaging. Just like most people, I am obsessed with rose gold at the moment so this just ticks all the boxes for me!

Hello Lovelies!

So this weekend I am going to be focusing on Zoella Beauty's new launch; Sweet Inspirations.

As I didn't do a blog post last weekend (I have no excuse), I am going to do a two part post over today and tomorrow about two of Zoe's new products that I managed to pick up a couple of weeks back.

First up is the Bath Latte and isn't the packaging ADORABLE??

As well as looking like a milk bottle, it also smells like the cosiest warm bed ever so it is definitely a bed time kinda bath.

The bubbles this creates definitely aren't the kind of bubbles which make you unable to breathe but are also not the kind which just disappear after 30 seconds of being in there, definitely the middle ground of the two as you can also use this as a shower gel.

The Bath Latte is formulated with almond, cacao and honey which makes my skin feel so soft and nourished afterwards.

I think my overall favourite thing about this product is the packaging. Some of the previous Zoella beauty packaging has been a little too young or girly for my taste but this collection have definitely seen Zoe take on a different approach. I especially love the rose-gold cap, but who wouldn't?!

Happy Sunday Everyone!

This week I thought I would tell you the things that I am looking forward to and hoping to achieve throughout this summer.

Now that college is almost over, I want to make sure that I have the best couple of months off to make up for how stressed out I have been since September.

________________________________

1. I want to go to the gym more.

This seems like a pretty straight forward goal for a lot of people but I really am so unfit, the type of unfit that gets out of breath when running up the stairs (no, really). As well as this I want to tighten myself up a bit in area's such as my stomach!

2. I want a healthier lifestyle.

This definitely ties in with the last point and they definitely both go hand in hand. I really want to start eating a lot cleaner, going for more walks and taking more time to de-stress during the college months. I think it is really important to have some me-time once a week to really not have to think about anything but pampering yourself!

3. Find a job.

I have been putting this off for a while, not because I didn't want to work or earn money but because of was scared of the unknown. I find it super hard to put myself out there to do something that I am unfamiliar with because of my anxiety, but I've been applying for jobs and am definitely on the right track now.

4. De-Stress.

As I mentioned before, I really want to start taking more time for myself so that I don't get myself low from worrying. I will definitely do a me-time post if you're all interested!

I am also really looking forward to my birthday this year and me and Maxwell are going away! Only to Birmingham for the night but that means lots of shopping eek! Expect a post about that one in just over a months time as well as lots of new product reviews and hauls :D

So this week I thought I would show you a part of my beauty stash that I don't think I have ever actually spoken about on my blog before and that is my fragrances.

In this post I am going to talk about my day to day go to fragrance as well as the one that I ALWAYS reach for in the evenings or more special events.

___________

This is my day to day fragrance and definitely has been since it came out. If you didn't know, I am a big fan of Lady Gaga and when this was released I just had to have it! It is a black liquid and is sweet but definitely not sickly. It is a very light fragrance and easy to wear.

I received this perfume as a birthday present for my 17th (nearly two years ago! Don't remind me D:) and I wore it as a daily perfume for about a year! After that, it seemed to be getting a bit low so I started to wear it as my evening perfume and I loved it even more. The scent is very strong and extremely long lasting. It smells very sweet but at the same time very fresh and almost floral. It has definitely become one of those fragrances that makes me excited to go somewhere whenever I wear it!

Good Morning Lovelies!

Sorry that this post is a little late! I have a had a bit of a hectic weekend, especially yesterday and this is what the post is going to be about.

Yesterday was mine and Max's 1st anniversary of being together and it really has flown by!

We ate some pancakes for breakfast in the morning, which I forgot to take a picture of as I practically inhaled them as soon as I saw them.

After that we chilled out for a while at my house and then went into town to go for a meal and see a film.

First of all, it was SO hot yesterday? Summer is finally arriving I think!

We popped into Costa to try to cool down with some of their cool drinks and Max tried out the Peach Lemonade (which isn't fizzy! Yay for me) and I had my usual of the Watermelon and Strawberry smoothie, it's the best thing ever.

Next up we went and had a little look around the shops and then popped into the cinema to watch Warcraft! During our first few months we used to play the game together over Skype so it was the perfect film for our anniversary day out.

I really loved the film and Max definitely did too.

We then popped into Nando's and both had some kind of grilled spicy chicken, of course, and then we went home.

Overall, it was a really nice day to just spend some time together and eat food.

Hopefully many more of those to come too!

Hello Lovelies!

As I said in yesterday's post, I am going to be posting twice this weekend to make up for the missed one last weekend!

Today brings my May Favourites and it literally doesn't seem long since I posted at the end of April! Time is seriously flying this year.

____________________________

So i'm going to start off with my beauty/fashion favourites and then move on to the non-beauty a little later on.

So firstly, I have been getting a lot of spots recently and they have all been mainly focused around my nose which is so annoying. I think it must've been from college stress coupled with the two weddings! As well as Sudocrem being my best friend, I have also been reaching back to an old favourite to help cover them up, the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the lightest shade (of course).

As you know there has always been a lot of hype around this since it was released but has definitely crawled back into my daily makeup due to it's amazing high coverage for the price.

Next up, I have been loving putting on The Body Shop's Satsuma Body Butter after the shower or bath as my skin has been super dry and also sunburnt recently! I love the consistency of their body butters and they definitely last a really long time.

Moving on to hair-care and I have really been loving the Herbal Essences Conditioner in 'Moroccan My Shine'. Since I ran out of my label m conditioner, I wanted to go back down the cheaper route in terms of hair-care and although this substitute is not as good as the label m one, I can definitely say that my hair really soaks it up and is looking hydrated and shiny still!

Non-Beauty

Onto the non-beauty favourites, now there are a lot of different shows that I have been loving this month but I have managed to whittle it down to four to talk to you about today! I will link to them here for you to have a click and a read if you wish and I will also try to write them in English too.

Finally, of course, I have been loving attending the two weddings from this month with Max and also meeting lots of people from his side of the family!

I really hope you enjoyed my favourites for this month, sorry it was quite a long one, I think I have a case of verbal diarrhoea (ha!). If you have any suggestions for future blog posts leave them in the comments below or through my social media's on the right, I love hearing your recommendations!

Hey Lovelies!

To make up for the missed post from last weekend (the wedding was busy!), I thought that I would post today as well as tomorrow!

Today I wanted to talk about one of my recent purchases from Dorothy Perkins. This was a very spontaneous buy and I am not really known for ever checking out this shop so it was a little different for me.

I was paying for something else from Topshop in Outfit when I came across the perfectly placed wall of bags which sucks you in right at the last moment before paying, it gets me most times..

I thought that this bag would be the perfect update from my previous small over-the-shoulder handbag, plus, it stops me bringing unnecessary amounts of things around with me!

I don't usually go for the gold hardware however, I really loved the style of the little clasp as well as the pattern of the faux leather.

The inside has a small pocket for a phone (doesn't fit a iPhone 6) and also a little zip pocket on the side for change or other things you might not want floating around in the bottom!

At the time that I bought it, it was £12.00 but is selling off at the moment for £9.60! A real bargain there!

You can buy the bag - HERE

Good Afternoon Lovelies!

Sorry that this post is not technically on the weekend anymore but I have a good excuse which I am going to speak about today!

Last Saturday my brother got married and I can now say that I have a sister! I have always wanted a sister and I can definitely say I would not want anyone else.

The day started at 7am for us nine bridesmaids, the bride and the mother of the bride. We all had our hair and makeup done and hopped out the door to the beautiful venue.

The weather could not have been more on our side, even though I burnt my shoulders (thanks pale skin). Max even got to meet the majority of my family too as well as seeing my aunt and uncle from Australia, which made the day even more special!

I have included some of my favourite photos from the day below (taken by Max and my mum) so I hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for reading and I will be back with another post next week/weekend! I have another wedding so it may be a little late but I will try to get one up as soon as I can :-)

Sunday 8 May 2016

So this week I thought that I would show you my all time favourite brushes! I haven't really had much experience in the brush department as the brushes I would like require lots of money!

So lets get on with four favourite brushes -

I absolutely ADORE this brush! Even though I do not use it for contour, my cheekbones don't exist, I do however use it for my concealer. The tapered end and softness of the brush really helps to blend everything in so seamlessly and never leaves any brush strokes along the skin!

The only downside to this brush is that you can only buy it as part of the Core Collection, which has one or two brushes that I really do not like.

This is the burnt orange coloured brush.

This is one of my favourite eyeshadow brushes. I like to use this to give that first soft wash of colour all over the lid and also to blend in the crease or outsides of the shadow. It is a very soft and sparse so I would not recommend this for concealer or packing on intense colour.

This is the purple coloured brush furthest to the left.

Even though this brush is one of those that comes with an eyeshadow palette, it is actually amazing quality. The one end is a long but dense brush which is perfect for packing on pigmented colour or wetting slightly with a setting spray to make the colour even more pigmented and intense.

The other end is a more long and fluffy brush but definitely more coarse than the Real Techniques one. I like it to really focus colour in the crease so that I do not get any fallout with darker colours!

This is the bronze/gold double ended brush.

This brush comes with the same eyeshadow set as the base shadow brush and I didn't really use it that much at first as I thought that it was definitely much too big for my eyelid. One day had an idea that it would be perfect for concealer! It blends in beautifully as it is the best combination of dense and sparse. I would highly recommend this brush!

This is the purple coloured brush on the far right.

Here are a couple of brush brands that are high up on my wish-list!

Also featured in the above photos is my Zoella Beauty makeup bag! It is the perfect size to store my brushes and any little products for the day.
