Hello Lovelies!

As I said in yesterday's post, I am going to be posting twice this weekend to make up for the missed one last weekend!

Today brings my May Favourites and it literally doesn't seem long since I posted at the end of April! Time is seriously flying this year.

So i'm going to start off with my beauty/fashion favourites and then move on to the non-beauty a little later on.

So firstly, I have been getting a lot of spots recently and they have all been mainly focused around my nose which is so annoying. I think it must've been from college stress coupled with the two weddings! As well as Sudocrem being my best friend, I have also been reaching back to an old favourite to help cover them up, the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the lightest shade (of course).

As you know there has always been a lot of hype around this since it was released but has definitely crawled back into my daily makeup due to it's amazing high coverage for the price.

Next up, I have been loving putting on The Body Shop's Satsuma Body Butter after the shower or bath as my skin has been super dry and also sunburnt recently! I love the consistency of their body butters and they definitely last a really long time.

Moving on to hair-care and I have really been loving the Herbal Essences Conditioner in 'Moroccan My Shine'. Since I ran out of my label m conditioner, I wanted to go back down the cheaper route in terms of hair-care and although this substitute is not as good as the label m one, I can definitely say that my hair really soaks it up and is looking hydrated and shiny still!

Non-Beauty

Onto the non-beauty favourites, now there are a lot of different shows that I have been loving this month but I have managed to whittle it down to four to talk to you about today! I will link to them here for you to have a click and a read if you wish and I will also try to write them in English too.

Finally, of course, I have been loving attending the two weddings from this month with Max and also meeting lots of people from his side of the family!

I really hope you enjoyed my favourites for this month, sorry it was quite a long one, I think I have a case of verbal diarrhoea (ha!). If you have any suggestions for future blog posts leave them in the comments below or through my social media's on the right, I love hearing your recommendations!

Hey Lovelies!

To make up for the missed post from last weekend (the wedding was busy!), I thought that I would post today as well as tomorrow!

Today I wanted to talk about one of my recent purchases from Dorothy Perkins. This was a very spontaneous buy and I am not really known for ever checking out this shop so it was a little different for me.

I was paying for something else from Topshop in Outfit when I came across the perfectly placed wall of bags which sucks you in right at the last moment before paying, it gets me most times..

I thought that this bag would be the perfect update from my previous small over-the-shoulder handbag, plus, it stops me bringing unnecessary amounts of things around with me!

I don't usually go for the gold hardware however, I really loved the style of the little clasp as well as the pattern of the faux leather.

The inside has a small pocket for a phone (doesn't fit a iPhone 6) and also a little zip pocket on the side for change or other things you might not want floating around in the bottom!

At the time that I bought it, it was £12.00 but is selling off at the moment for £9.60! A real bargain there!

You can buy the bag - HERE

Good Afternoon Lovelies!

Sorry that this post is not technically on the weekend anymore but I have a good excuse which I am going to speak about today!

Last Saturday my brother got married and I can now say that I have a sister! I have always wanted a sister and I can definitely say I would not want anyone else.

The day started at 7am for us nine bridesmaids, the bride and the mother of the bride. We all had our hair and makeup done and hopped out the door to the beautiful venue.

The weather could not have been more on our side, even though I burnt my shoulders (thanks pale skin). Max even got to meet the majority of my family too as well as seeing my aunt and uncle from Australia, which made the day even more special!

I have included some of my favourite photos from the day below (taken by Max and my mum) so I hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for reading and I will be back with another post next week/weekend! I have another wedding so it may be a little late but I will try to get one up as soon as I can :-)

So this week I thought that I would show you my all time favourite brushes! I haven't really had much experience in the brush department as the brushes I would like require lots of money!

So lets get on with four favourite brushes -

I absolutely ADORE this brush! Even though I do not use it for contour, my cheekbones don't exist, I do however use it for my concealer. The tapered end and softness of the brush really helps to blend everything in so seamlessly and never leaves any brush strokes along the skin!

The only downside to this brush is that you can only buy it as part of the Core Collection, which has one or two brushes that I really do not like.

This is the burnt orange coloured brush.

This is one of my favourite eyeshadow brushes. I like to use this to give that first soft wash of colour all over the lid and also to blend in the crease or outsides of the shadow. It is a very soft and sparse so I would not recommend this for concealer or packing on intense colour.

This is the purple coloured brush furthest to the left.

Even though this brush is one of those that comes with an eyeshadow palette, it is actually amazing quality. The one end is a long but dense brush which is perfect for packing on pigmented colour or wetting slightly with a setting spray to make the colour even more pigmented and intense.

The other end is a more long and fluffy brush but definitely more coarse than the Real Techniques one. I like it to really focus colour in the crease so that I do not get any fallout with darker colours!

This is the bronze/gold double ended brush.

This brush comes with the same eyeshadow set as the base shadow brush and I didn't really use it that much at first as I thought that it was definitely much too big for my eyelid. One day had an idea that it would be perfect for concealer! It blends in beautifully as it is the best combination of dense and sparse. I would highly recommend this brush!

This is the purple coloured brush on the far right.

Here are a couple of brush brands that are high up on my wish-list!

Also featured in the above photos is my Zoella Beauty makeup bag! It is the perfect size to store my brushes and any little products for the day.

Monday 2 May 2016

Hellooo!

So first up, apologies for the not so great photo this time, the weather has been so weird in the UK at the moment and its been making me so unmotivated as well as there not being enough natural lighting D:

So its that monthly favourites time again and I thought that I would start making this more regular and call 'highlights' instead, so that I can tell you anything and everything that I have been loving this month!

I cannot believe that it is already May?! I have two weddings this month and I am sure you will have some outfit posts from those..

On to the highlights!

Face

I have been loving applying my Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer (all time favourite) with my Real Techniques contour brush! It just blends everything in so seamlessly as well as keeping the coverage.

Hair

Since having my hair bleached again (Twice!) to try and get rid of the green, I have been using this Honey & Oat Shampoo from label m and it has definitely been my saviour! It helps my ends keep moisturised and healthy.

Body

I don't usually have a deodorant in my favourites but this month I have re-discovered one that I used to love! It is from Soft & Gentle and is in the scent, Lotus and Watermelon. It smells SO good! The only place that I can find that sells this particular scent is Wilko's!

Clothing

I bought these Topshop Leigh jeans with knee rips and one thigh rip quite a while ago now but I have been wearing them an absolute ton this month. As soon as they are out of the wash they are back to being worn, definitely will have to pick up some more!

Watch

I came across a new anime called 'Erased' and completed the entire season in one day, which is so weird for me as I hardly ever finish a show or even start to watch one! You definitely need to check it out - Here

Experience

Last but definitely not least was when Max came over for a few days in the Easter Holidays. We went to the cinema and did some shopping and also went to the woods to take some photos for his portfolio! It was a really fun few days and was definitely the break from college I needed :-)

Here's a few photos Max took from the woods
