The Blackout - 28/3/15

Hello!

Sorry I didn't post anything last week :( I wasn't feeling too well and I didn't have any ideas that popped into my head so I didn't want to force an idea that wouldn't be very good!

Yesterday I went to see The Blackout with my friend Chloe. It was their last ever show on their last ever tour which is real sad because I would totally see them again!

I thought I would do a montage of some of the photos that I managed to take!

New Dress! - #Mid-weeker

Hello My Lovelies!

I was thinking about where my blog is going and what kind of structure it has and i thought that i could stick with my weekly Sunday main posts but i could also do mini mid-week ones when i feel like it! Some weeks there may not be one and other there may be three! 

Im going to be calling this #Mid-Weeker!

Cracking on with today's #Mid-Weeker, i bought a new dress!

I was sooo nervous that this wouldn't fit! I'm usually a size 8 but i bought this in size 6 as it was the largest size in the petite range (under 5ft3's)... So i went for it and i am SO glad i did!

This was from DropDeadUK which is actually a clothing brand by Bring Me The Horizon's Oli Sykes, although i am not a fan of the music, i am a fan of him and the clothing (although sometimes pricey)!

Does it suit me well?

Should i keep it or return it?

I'd love some feedback on this random purchase <3

Short TMI Blogger Tag!

Hello Everyone!!

Did everyone see my midweek post? I don't usually do those kind of posts but it something that is so close to home to me and i'd really wanted to help out in some way! The views sky-rocketed, i really hope some of you guys donated <3

This Sunday i am going to be doing a short version of the TMI tag that is going around on YouTube and the Blogger-sphere. I wanted to condense it to only around 25 questions as it would take forever to read! I feel like it'd get really boring!

Anyway.. On with the questions!

1. Do you have a middle name?

I do! My middle name is Jessica:)

2. What was your favourite subject in school?

My favourite subject in terms of learning was probably English, but one of the most fun was definitely Science in year 11!

 
3. What’s your favourite drink?

Any kind of fruity green juice! Especially carrot or spinach ones mmm!

 
4. What’s your favourite song at the moment?

Im really loving Years and Years as an artist at the moment as well as Fall Out Boy's latest album but probably All Day or Only One by Kanye West.

5. What would you name your children?

I really love the name Ashley for a boy, most of my friends would be like 'oh thats because of Ash from The Midnight Beast' and yes partly but i really just love the name. For a girl id probably say Louise or Evie!

6. Do you participate in any sports?

YES i do rounders, football, go to the gym.... *cough* yeahh, no definitely no sports here (i wish i was joking)

7. What’s your favourite book? 

It has got to be Paper Towns by John Green (the movie soon OHMY)

8. What’s your favourite colour?

Definitely Blue!

9. What’s your favourite animal?

I absolutely adore dogs and everything they do so i'd have to say them!

10. What’s your favourite perfume?

Lady Gaga's Fame or Mademoiselle by Chanel

11. What’s your favourite holiday?

My favourites have to be when i went to Paris with the school and all of the times i have been to London!

12. Have you graduated from High School?

I have! I am currently 17 nearly 18 and will be going into my third year of college in September!

13. Have you been out of the country?

Ive obviously been to Wales quite a few times as i live on the boarder but outside of the UK i have only been to Paris!

14. Do you speak any other languages?

I can speak a little French? Je Mange le Petit Enfants haha (quiz: now what does that mean?)

15. Do you have any siblings?

I have one sibling! He is currently 28 and is called Stu

16. What’s your favourite store?

For clothes shopping it is definitely Topshop, however i never have enough money to buy anything so i just try things on and feel sad (damn you topshop)

17. What’s your favourite restaurant?

I love anywhere that is italian definitely! Frankie and Benny's is awesome. Mind you i love my local Royal Oak too!

18. Do you like school? 

I did enjoy school! Only throughout year 11 really though, too many nasties

19. Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?

My absolute favourites are Dan Howell (danisnotonfire) and Phil Lester (AmazingPhil). But i also love people like KickthePj, Jack Howard and Charlie McDonnell aswell as some of 'The British Crew'

20. What’s your favourite movie? 

I really love the cornetto trilogy of course and also anything fantasy or a bit dark and weird! Also comedy!

21. What are some of your favourite TV shows?

I don't really watch TV but i love things like Breaking Bad and Pretty Little Liars. But i also love series on Youtube, such as Becoming Youtube by ninebrassmonkeys (Ben Cook). If you count anime then i used to be into things like Attack on Titan and Sword Art online etc

22. PC or Mac?

Both for different reasons, but definitely Mac for editing.

23. What phone do you have?

I have the iPhone 5S in silver

24. How tall are you?

I am 5ft and half an inch. The half an inch really does matter. My body didn't give a good effort in growing upwards seriously

25. Any pets? 

I have one pet! He is a dog and his name is Ben

Let's Make Memories..

Hey Lovelies!

Today's post is a bit different from the normal updates but this is very close to home and I hope you can all get involved.

Here are two 12 year old boys called Toby and Corey, they are my friend Jasmine's little brothers!

Last year, the boys were diagnosed with Cone Rod Dystrophy which is a degeneration condition of the eyes, from this they are now partially sighted and their sight is gradually getting worse over time.

Recently they have been undergoing alot of different tests and have now been diagnosed with Battens Disease (click the HERE for more info). This is a horrible life-shortening fatal illness which will leave them bedridden and unable to make it through their teenage years.

Currently there is a donation page set up where nearly 2,000 pounds has been raised so far, this is to help make lots of amazing memories for these boys and make their life the best it can be.

I urge you, however much 1 pounds or 10 pounds will make a HUGE difference!

If you are from the local Herefordshire area, there is a fundraising event going on in aid of these two at God's of Ink (<-- Click here to check it out) which I would urge you go to! If you cannot make it to that or are not in the surrounding area then you can donate HERE

Nail of the Month

Happy Sunday!

Since i spoke to you last week i was thinking that i should start having some kind of schedule to my blog. I know that i only post once a week, but that is all i can fit into my time at the moment as i am still in full time education!

One of the things that i thought i would try out was a series called 'Nail of the Month', where every month i will show what has been my staple colour as i only usually switch up the colour of my varnish about once a month!

So here we go! 

The first nail of the month is a varnish from Barry M called 'Chai'. To get this opaque colour i did one thick coat of the polish and it covered completely! I think that two thin coats would also do the same. Like all of their varnishes, it dried in no time at all.

I really think that this shade of grey is so chic and elegant, it can be paired with any outfit, especially blacks and very pale colours!

Overall i think it's a beautiful polish and i cannot wait to wear it more! (even though i really shouldn't have bought another eek)

Mini Haul - Boots and Lush!

Happy St.David's Day my lovelies!!

So on Friday i went on a mini shopping day with my friend Katie before she moves house. 

We popped into quite a few shops but i thought that i would show you what i got from Boots and Lush whilst i was there!

Firstly, Katie recommended a mascara from loreal to me so she very kindly bought it for me to try out... Here were the results - 

I think it really thickened my eyelashes and the mascara along with the primer for the lashes was a great idea however i found that the lengthening didn't really stay long for very long but i do absolutely love the fact that it does not clump at all whilst applying!

Im still stuck in my ways with Benefit's new roller lash, it is SO good!

Next up i popped into lush and picked up one of their bath ballistic's (bath bombs), this one was their Dragon's egg! 

It is my favourite, it smells so strong of citrus and lemon and when it is fizzing around in the water there are so many different colours that come out of it! However it's appearance is clear white, ill link up the ingredients below.

I also picked up a bubblegum lip scrub and one of their little hand and body moisturisers for charity! These were kindly bought by Katie for me too, thank you again if you're reading this! :)
