Saturday 19 December 2015

So last Thursday me and my boyfriend, Maxwell, had an early Christmas day as we won't be seeing each other on the actual day. So I thought that I would share what we got up to throughout the day/evening. I really wish I had taken more photos but it shows that I really did have a good day and did not think about my phone or anything :-)

The day started off at around 4:30pm as I had college during the day. We started the whole evening off by going to see the new Star Wars film which I have had booked up for ages as he really loves it. As someone who has never really seen a Star Wars movie, I really really enjoyed this film and would definitely watch it again if I had the chance to! It makes me really want to watch the previous films too.

After the film we moved onto get some food in Frankie and Benny's! Max went for the steak and I went for the carbonara (basically what I get everywhere, all the time).

This was taken on my phone so I'm sorry for the low quality! They also added mushrooms in when I asked for none, so I didn't really eat too mush of it, wah :(

After we had finished up eating we caught a taxi back to his house and we slumped on the sofa and began to open our Christmas gifts for each other! I had made him a big red stocking and filled it up with lots of little gifts that he had been pointing out for the past few months, which I think he loved! Girlfriend points to me!

He was worried that I was going to be disappointed in my gifts as there was only two compared to my 11 smaller gifts but the things that he got me were worth 1,000 in my eyes!

Firstly, he got me this adorable Tibbers plush!! I knew that he was going to get me a teddy bear of some sort as he knows that I adore them so much but he got me this one which was so so thoughtful and more unique than just your average teddy bear :-)

I do have to admit that when I opened both of these I cried lots, (I'm a very emotional person) so I hope I didn't scare him away!! (Probably did)

The second gift that he got me was so so special! Since last Christmas, I have been collecting Pandora charms for my bracelet that my nan and granddad kindly bought for me and ever since Max pointed this out as really cute around 7-8 months ago, I have wanted it!

It means way more to me than just a charm so it shows he really thought about it which I appreciate a lot! I love you very much so thank-you Max :-)

I really hope you guys liked this little post and I hope you all have an amazing Christmas next week!!

I love to read 'What I got for Christmas' posts so I think that I will be doing that for next week!

Love you all very much and I will speak next week

Merry Christmas!

Sunday 13 December 2015

Hey lovelies!

So Christmas is coming nearer and nearer and I have been watching SO many beauty girls on YouTube raving about certain products and gift sets!

So I thought that I would share with you the top 5 luxury products that I and many of you out there would LOVE to see under the tree this year! (even though, they're probably out of our reach)

This wish list could also act as a mini gift guide for all of you that are looking for a very special present for someone last minute or someone who has a higher budget!

- - - -

This is such a beautiful set and is at the lowest price of these 5 products. It is super relaxing and is perfect for that person you know who has had a stressful time recently!

£25.00 at Boots

This set comes with three mini Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks from her K-I-S-S-I-N-G range! This is such an amazing price for such quality and how often do we really get through a whole lipstick?! These will last you AGES!

£29.00 at Harrods

This is such a luxurious cologne for someone special that you may know! My personal favourite is the wood sage and sea salt one but there are a few other scents to choose from, this is definitely up there on my favourites this year.

£42.00 at Selfridges

So we all loved the Ambient Lighting shades that Hourglass released before but now they have made this beautiful palette just in time for Christmas and it is just TO DIE FOR! If you know someone who is into their highlighter/blusher combo's then they will LOVE this!

£65.00 at SpaceNK

This is the most luxurious out of the list!

Charlotte has really broken through these past through years and has really set a huge standard to beat! She has just about topped it all off with this 12-day advent calendar! I really think this would also be a lovely gift and not just an advent calendar! Anyone who is into their beauty would love to see this under the tree for sure!

£150.00 at Selfridges

So last week, as well as picking up some Autumnal goodies from New Look, I popped into Boots and picked up a few different skincare items too!

One of them was from Masque Bar and it was their Luminizing Charcoal Peel-Off Mask. There was three packets in the box and it was only £6.00! I tried this last night and I wasn't really happy with it! So I thought I would share my opinions.

It says to apply a thick opaque layer onto the face. I found this quite hard as it is a very thick paste that would drag the face very easily so I think it would work a lot better if I had used a flat foundation brush to do this.

Whilst it was on my face it was perfectly fine. However, when it came to taking it off it really hurt! It was so painful! It doesn't instruct to take it off with any water but I would definitely do so.

I also would not recommend this for sensitive skin as it is far too abrasive when taking it off (from my experience anyway).

As for the 'luminizing' element I didn't really see much effect. It kind of just left my face wanting a heavy moisturise.

Overall, I won't be using this again :(

- - - -

I hope you enjoyed this little review, I really was expecting a lot different so I thought I would share my views so that you do not waste your money if this was not what you was expecting!

Speak next week with something more positive!

Yesterday I popped out for a small shopping trip with my mum!

I didn't really go with an idea of what I wanted to get but I happened to stumble across these in New Look!

All of these pieces are so Autumnal and festive! They are also SO soft and I think will go well with most of my wardrobe. The hat and the scarf especially go well together.

One thing I wish they had was more of a variety of gloves! They only had a few and I really need some so I had to settle on these. Even though I really like them it would have been nice to have more of a choice for sure.

The hat was £7.99 - HERE

The gloves were £7.99 - HERE

The scarf was £9.99 - HERE

I really hope I gave you a little bit of inspiration for your Autumnal staple and also hope that you have had a nice weekend and I will speak next week!

You can also follow my blog or sign up for email updates! Have a look on the top right of this post :D

Love you all :-)

Saturday 7 November 2015

So we are now getting into the colder months and the thing that comes along with that is dry, flaky skin. Everyone hates it but it can be hard to know what you can do about it. So here are my 5 winter face essentials!

I only have a small sample of this from Elle magazine. However, before I received this I was suffering with really dry skin and one application of this helped so much!! It is always important to keep your skin hydrated.

It is always really important to keep your lips hydrated during the winter months. A lot of people lip their lips a lot which actually makes dryness worse.

Try to avoid using petroleum jelly as this fakes your lips into thinking they do not have to produce as much moisture as they were previously doing. This makes them more dry!

My personal favourite is Nivea's lip butter  :-)

Another thing that is really good whilst on the go is a face mist. I go for the vitamin E face mist from The Body Shop. This can be worn under makeup for a quick refresh or over the top of makeup to help it stay longer!

Now this product isn't actually released for purchase until about 7 weeks time. However, this is a new product from Benefit! Their new Lash Primer! This can be used under any mascara or on its own and it is supposed to help protect the lashes and prime them, ready for the mascara.

Your eyes get really dry around the colder months so it is a good idea to protect them in all the ways you can! Your eyelashes could lack moisture so priming them is a really good step you might want to add into your routine!

Now as well as your face being nice and smooth and nourished. You will need to keep your hands that way too! (As well as your body but thats a whole other post).

I use Dove as they know their stuff about moisturising and being gentle to the skin. It also smells really good so thats a bonus!

- - - - - - - -

Thanks for reading this post :-)

I really hope you learnt a few things and I gave you a few ideas to spice up your daily routine with a bit of moisture!

Speak next week

Hello Lovelies!!

As you may have noticed I have a new blog design! It was made by the lovely Julie from MunichParis. You should definitely check her and her partner's blog and Etsy shop out if you get a chance!

I really love the new design and I really hope you all do too :-)

- - - - -

This past week was my half term off college and it was pretty busy! I met 3 of my favourite YouTubers and had an awesome three days with Max and it was by far one of my favourite weeks this year.

Im going to insert lots of pictures here for you to have a look through!

On October 25th I attended TATINOF (the amazing tour is not on fire) and it was  so so amazing! I managed to get a VIP ticket which I am so grateful for (thanks mum) and would definitely go and see it 100 times more!

I also finally met Zoe (Zoella) after years of trying and failing! I also got to finally tell her in person that it was me who bought her the little black and white toy guinea pig a couple of years ago! (picture above on the left).

Me and Max also had a fun couple of days! We carved some pumpkins and also went to see Spectre on the release day so we got a cool souvenir ticket and a poster! (yay)

p.s those Tango ice blasts are literally heaven in a cup

- - - -

So I really hope you like my new design and this little life update. I am really sorry that I haven't been posting regularly for a while! It took me a while to get sorted with the timetable for my new college course and I'm really happy with it now :)

I really want to be more regular with these posts so please feel free to leave me some suggestions in the comments or through any of my social media's linked at the top!

Also you can sign up with your email to receive my posts when they go up now!! It would be really great if you could do that :-)

Thanks so much for reading lovelies and I will speak next week! I promise

Monday 12 October 2015

Hello lovelies!

This morning I shook the last little spot of my eye makeup remover onto my cotton pad. After unscrewing the cap to hopelessly shake out the tiniest amount of product left, I realised that I have been doing this to a couple of other things recently too and that it was definitely time to give up and move on.

The first thing that had given up a couple of months ago (but I just kept scraping the sides, even the wand fell off at one point, oops!!) was the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

I really loved this concealer whilst it was going strong. Reaaaally loved. It was perfect for that under the eye highlight and even underneath the brow bone. Also, as I am so pale, it doubled up as a spot and blemish concealer too! (much better than the Collection Lasting Perfection if you ask me! ~controversial~) I would highly recommend this however, I am going to be sticking to my Urban Decay Naked Concealer as theres still quite a bit left of that one.

Next up was my Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser (now thats a mouthful). I moved on to this when my POREfessional by Benefit ran out and I was really pleasantly surprised! Although it is clear, unlike the POREfessional, it still does an amazing job at filling in those pesky pores AND really makes the lasting power of my concealer a lot longer.. thanks Maybelline!

Lastly, is my Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Makeup Remover. I was so sad this morning when I forced out the last drop, then remembered that I had already bought a backup about 1 month previously. Yes, it is that good. I have yet to try Bioderma but I think this would give it a run for its money. It it split up into two sections in the bottle, an oily purple section and then a micellar water underneath, when you mix these two together it forms a cloudy water which you apply to a cotton pad. You then hold it on each eye for a few seconds and then wipe away and you are left with clean eyes! It sounds wayy too good to be true.. but it isn't!

- - - -

Thanks so much for reading, I really hope you enjoyed my opinions on these three products and I hope I have improved some of your daily beauty routines with them! They really are amazing products :-)

Speak soon!

Monday 5 October 2015

Earlier this week I went and picked up the November issue of Elle Magazine and free with it was this Orly polish. It is actually one of four but I looked through the shades and chose this rose gold shimmer shade.

I painted my nails with it today and I was really impressed with it! I used my usual Orly Rubberised Base Coat and my Nails Inc Caviar Top Coat to finish it off.

I applied this colour with two coats however if you were in a rush you could totally get away with just the one coat, it really had a great amount of pigment for such a shimmery pale colour. Yay for Orly!

I would really recommend this Color Blast range, from what I have seen from it so far, it has a really good colour payoff!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and I will speak soooon :-)

(look at me with posting so regularly, I'm on fire ;D)

Today I popped into Boots to see the Christmas gift collection that they have started to get in!

As I was having a mooch I came across these from the Yes To Cucumbers range. I have been looking for this range in my local boots for a long time however, there has never been any until now!

This Shampoo and Conditioner duo claims that it is for normal to fine hair and that it will help to volumes and get rid of the flatness to your freshly washed hair, which I really do need!

The smell of it is so amazing and kind of reminds me of watermelon. They were on offer and around £3.00 each which isn't too bad considering the size!

I am going to try these out tomorrow so make sure to check out my social medias for an update on them!

I hope you liked this little update and I will speak soon :-)

Friday 2 October 2015

Recently, I have made two new lip purchases. I wanted to find the perfect nude lip and I also wanted to hunt down Tanya Burr's makeup range with its beautiful new additions.

For the perfect nude lip, I wanted something that was the old 'your lips but better' saying, but I have never been able to find one. Until Rimmel released their new Kate Moss nudes collection.

I swatched a few of the shades and shade 45 came out on top. It really is the perfect nude lip for my light skin tone.

Secondly I found one of Tanya Burr's lip glosses in the shade 'Picnic in the Park' which is such a cute name!

I am really loving these lip products so far, what do you all think of them?

Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons of the year so naturally, I am really excited about trying out different shades and colours for the weather, eek!

My first autumnal nail look is from Barry M's Nail Paint Magnetic collection. I have had this in my collection for quite a while now but have never picked it up and given it a whirl, until now.

This colour applied really evenly and with just one coat too, which is always good. You just hold the little magnet over the nail straight after you have painted it and it warps the varnish into a stripy pattern! It is really cool however, I think Barry M have discontinued this range :(

A dupe of this shade could be Maybelline's Super Stay in the shade 265 Divine Wine.

To finish I put a few little dots of a silver shimmer from a nail pen from Primark (it is surprisingly very good!) onto the ring fingers of both hands.

The undercoat I used was Orly's Rubberised Basecoat and the topcoat I used was Ciate's Caviar Topcoat.

What did you think of this magnetic range and should they bring it back?

Hey Everyone

Once again I'm sorry that I haven't been posting weekly like I normally do. I honestly just haven't had any creative thought lately, and if I have had a good idea and I try to create it, I am never happy with the final result.

I am going to try a lot harder but I cannot promise that there will be a post every week as I am going into my new college course in a couple of weeks too which will be very full on, but I hope you bare with me whilst I try to sort out my schedule etc :-)

Now on with the post...

A few weeks ago, Marcus Butler released his first book and as I have been subscribed to Marcus for quite a few years now then I felt obliged to give this a look.

It is all about his journey throughout his life where he used to struggle with weight and unhealthy eating and through his journey of changing his whole life around and feeling amazing because of it.

His methods of becoming healthy are not expensive and do not require gym memberships or top quality foods either, he preaches this throughout the book and shows that you can do small changes at a time and they do not have to cost anything to change your life for the better!

It is a really inspiring and easy to read book so I really hope some of you guys will take a look at it if you're thinking about being a healthier person in general, like me!

You can buy the book - Here

I really hope you enjoyed this little post and understand whilst I sort my blogging schedule out

Love you lots and see you in the next one

Friday 31 July 2015

Last Christmas my Nan and Granddad, very generously, started up a silver pandora bracelet for me and ever since I have been collecting charms at each special occasion.

Since I acquired a couple more since last Friday (my birthday), I thought I would show you all what I have! :D

I have 5 charms, 1 spacer and two clip-on spacers (the little plain silver balls).

My most recent charm is this one that I got sent for my birthday from my Aunt and Uncle (thanks guys!!). Since they live in Australia they bought me a little Australian themed charm along with a little spacer which I love so much!!

I received this little cutie from my Nan and Granddad for my birthday! I own a little Jack Russell called Ben, who you would know I love very dearly if you knew me in person, and he inspires this little charm and it reminds me of him so much :-)

The last one I am going to go into detail about is this little one with mittens. My Nan and Granddad got this for me along with the bracelet, spacers, star charm and heart charm! I find this adorably cute and it is definitely one of my favourites on the whole bracelet!

- - - -

I hope you enjoyed reading this little post about my charms. I really love collecting charms that have a special meaning to each one, it makes the bracelet a lot more than just a bracelet! (ooo deep)

Do any of you collect Pandora? Id love to know in the comments or over on my social media links to the side > :D

Till next time
